Why Attend?

When a safeguarding concern or serious incident lands unexpectedly, your Senior Leadership Team has just one chance to get those first 24 hours right. Decisions made in that initial window can shape outcomes, affect people’s wellbeing, and determine how external agencies, regulators, and stakeholders respond.

Tailored towards those in the NGO and charity sector, this 1-hour, high-impact session is designed to prepare your SLT for exactly that moment, before they ever have to face it. It’s about knowing what to do, what to avoid, and how to lead with confidence and clarity when the pressure is on.

From understanding the types of incidents that trigger immediate escalation, to knowing exactly what actions to take — and just as crucially, what to avoid — this session breaks down the essentials with clarity and confidence. It draws the line between strategic leadership and operational response, helping your SLT step up with purpose, protect your organisation, and support your teams from the outset.

This event is an online lunch and learn. If you would prefer a bespoke course for your organisation, go to our Work With Us page.

Can You Answer These Three Questions?
Would your SLT know exactly what to do in the immediate wake of a serious safeguarding or organisational incident?
Can your SLT clearly distinguish between their role and that of the operational team in the heat of the moment?
Does your SLT understand what must not be done, and the consequences if they get it wrong?

If you're unsure, you need to attend!
